12 markets, 1 endpoint pattern — catalogs today, quotes on request
Every market lists its tickers on a free catalog endpoint. Equity price and history routes are not served today; realtime and global equity coverage are available on request — the endpoint returns the contact.

A spot price and OHLC history per symbol, from the free daily-close feeds. Each response says so (realtime: false) and carries the timestamp of the close it returns.

Every endpoint above sits behind BlockRun's x402 gateway. Franklin Agent, ClawRouter, and the MCP server all wrap that same gateway — with wallet, payment, and retries handled for you.
Franklin Agent
The AI agent with a wallet. Ask in plain English — it finds the listing and pays for whatever data the answer needs.
> Is Toyota (7203) listed, and where? → 7203 · Toyota · market hours 09:00-15:00
ClawRouter
Drop into Python or TypeScript. The SDK signs x402 headers, pays in USDC, retries on failure — you just call the endpoint.
$ pip install blockrun-llm
>>> from blockrun_llm import Client
>>> c = Client() # auto-loads wallet
>>> c.get("/v1/stocks/jp/list?q=7203")BlockRun MCP
One install plugs every BlockRun service — including market data — into your AI assistant as callable tools.
$ claude mcp add blockrun -s user -- \
npx -y @blockrun/mcp@latestOr go raw HTTP
Point any x402-compatible HTTP client at the endpoints above. The 402 response carries a full bazaar schema, so any agent can discover and call it without reading these docs.
Market data API questions: crypto, FX, commodities, equities, pricing
- What market data does the trading markets API serve?
- Daily-close prices and OHLC history for crypto pairs, FX crosses and commodities, from one endpoint shape per asset class, free. Each class has a list endpoint that says exactly what it can quote, and every response states its source and timestamp.
- Are stock prices available through the API?
- Not today. The equity catalog — tickers per market, each with its own page — is served free, but an equity price or history request answers that it is not available and points to a contact: realtime and global equity coverage are provided on request.
- Is the market data realtime?
- No. The free feeds are daily closes, and each response says so with realtime set to false and the timestamp of the close it returns. Realtime feeds are available on request, which is the note the endpoint itself carries.
- How is the market data API priced?
- It is free: no payment header, no key, no data plan. Realtime and equity coverage are arranged on request rather than sold per call.
- Can I get historical OHLC candles for a crypto pair?
- Yes. The history endpoint returns daily-close OHLC bars for any supported crypto, FX or commodity symbol over the window you ask for; the docs carry the resolution and range parameters.
- Is there a streaming or websocket feed for market data?
- No. This endpoint is REST, and the free tier is daily close; a realtime or streaming feed is what the on-request coverage provides.
- Market data via BlockRun vs CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap or an exchange API?
- CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap sell monthly plans with a call quota and a key and serve live prices; an exchange feed is live for one venue. This serves a free daily close across crypto, FX and commodities with no plan and no key — enough for an agent that needs yesterday's number, not a tick.
- Can an AI trading agent read market data without an API key?
- Yes. The price, history and catalog endpoints take no key and no payment, so an agent reads a daily close or a ticker list with nothing to sign up for.
